Happy Christmas to you All

The holly and the ivy,
When they are both full grown,
Of all the trees that are in the wood,
The holly bears the crown.
The rising of the sun.
And the running of the deer,
The playing of the merry organ,
Sweet singing in the choir.

  14. Happy Christmas to you as well, Rosemary, from a very warm (31 degrees C in the porch) and muggy Whangarei. Black clouds around but I think they are just teasing us. Rain would be much appreciated and save the need for constant watering.

I look forward to more of your wonderful photos in 2018

  18. Love this post Rosemary - traditional Christmas is always the best! Ours won't be 'white' - it's 70F today - but will cool off a bit starting tomorrow.
Loved all you shared this year - the places you visited near and far - and the gorgeous photos you took.
Hoping your holidays are full of love, joy and many blessings. Best wishes for the New Year - would love to perhaps
see you somewhere on the globe one of these days!!!!!

Stay well, be happy, and enjoy each precious moment.
BTW - 'The Holly and the Ivy' is my favorite carol - so thanks.

    Hugs - Mary x

  24. Dearest Rosemary,
Especially the last two sentences from you poem, we did seek out.
Driving to Jacksonville, Florida for a heavenly Midnight Mass in the Basilica.
Having no relatives in the USA, Christmas for us is a pure religious celebration.
We also had so much for being grateful for, early November Pieter's heart health looked very grave.
The only option left was trying some new meds. Luckily after one month, they have stabilized and even improved him!
That's also the main reason to start my South Africa series, perking him up for being able to relive the good years of travel together. And it did lift up my spirits at my most distraught time ever.
Pieter enjoyed reading those posts and also the comments.
Knowing that photos from 1985 can never win from 2017, still the memories are dear to us and we are forever grateful to those that treated us royally over the years of doing consulting.
Hugs and wishing you and yours a Happy New Year in good health; that is the greatest of GIFTS!

  26. I had a wonderful Christmas, Rosemary, I hope you and your family did as well. And yes, HAPPY NEW YEAR. Hopefully with elections for Congress in 2018, we'll be able to put a stop to the criminal nonsense now going on in Washington. So wish us well.
