To Be or Not to Be continued....

The comments received on the previous post were very helpful - thank you.
Some thought that we might be putting ourselves in a dangerous situation or be compromised by what we might see, but fortunately that was never an issue.
It was the ethical situation only that gave us concerns. However, several blogger friends rightly pointed out that across the ages there are many countries that have a less than perfect record concerning their human rights. I only have to read the history of my own country to know that is correct.
We will continue to mull over the situation until the New Year, and then we will make a decision.

  1. Dear Rosemary, You will know what to do when the New Year comes.
Did you dig up a clump of Snowdrops? Are they blooming already in your garden?

  4. Stay in family hotels and avoid national chains and you will be helping the local population who have been blighted by their government

  5. People will always be exploited somewhere- it's just the way of the world. Many folk are being exploited every day in the UK right now under current working practice- zero hours contracts- hired for a day then dropped- low paid part time work as its cheaper with less perks laid out than full time old style employment rights- yet you still shop and live here as do I even though I sometimes have a rant about it- but it doesn't seem to solve anything. Better not to think about it too much or you wouldn't go anywhere :o)
Hope that's cheered you up :)

  9. It will be interesting to find out what you decide. You always produce such interesting posts about the countries you visit. Maybe a visit to the country you are thinking of will give us a different view of it. Sarah x

  10. Very pretty snowy scene. I understand that a lot of Europe is buried in snow. Your overnight getaway sounds wonderful. AS for the decision you are pondering. I feel sure that the two of you will come to a responsible decision.. Merry Christmas Janey
